QCHA - Queen City Hockey Association

www.cincinnatiyouthhockey.com

QCHA is a dedicated member-oriented youth hockey association that will deliver professional high quality support and guidance to its coaches, players, and their families. We are fully sanctioned through USA Hockey as of May of 2009 and we look forward to providing an experience that will only get better every year. By using volunteer help and quality coaches, we provide fun and sound teaching of hockey fundamentals to youth players at affordable prices.  The design is to build a solid foundation of skills within every participant, regardless of age, gender or current hockey experience.

We will be utilizing the recently developed USA Hockey program called the American Developmental Model (ADM). As we implement facets of this program over the next several years, new players now will progress from our Learn to Skate / Play Hockey; to House level; and eventually onto Tier 2 A/AA or Tier 1 AAA travel teams.

Skill development will be the cornerstone of any level of play, but ensuring that there is a fun experience will not be overlooked.  The QCHA is 501c3 Not for Profit entity.

QCHA Tier 1 and Tier 2 TRAVEL teams play under the banner of the Queen City Steam.  Projected age levels will be from Mite to Midget.  League participation may vary each year, but the season consists of league, tournament and exhibition games against teams generally within a 400 mile radius.  Players are selected through a QCHA tryout process that will take place each spring.

QCHA HOUSE teams will play under the banner of the Queen City Railers.  Each player will be evaluated and placed onto a team as no player will be turned away from playing hockey. Less games, great instruction, and a lot of fun for every participant!
